What a quaint little town Knutsford is, obviously designed for footballers'''' wives, I thought, as I meandered around the time after being ''''chucked out'''' of the show hall. My big mistake was to enter through ''''Tatton Park'''', which I had vaguely heard of somewhere (I was thinking along the lines of ''''racing today comes from Tatton Park ...'''').Well a beautiful piece of National Trust land it turned out to be, and the sun was shining, and so I wandered along the shore of an attractive lake whilst watching aircraft fresh from Manchester Airport, bank and turn and wheeze their way off to foreign climes right over my head. Navigating around the (very long) lake, I discovered the way out not to be the way in, and so found myself freezing (the sun had gone in), damp (it was starting to rain) and lost (the way out put me in a housing estate) 2 hours later.
So it was that when I finally made it back to the show hall, everyone else seemed to know the results, and assumed that I did too as I undid the carnage that my 3 had inflicted on their pens in my absence. It was one of those really good days, it turns out - Ashanti and Lynx both got a CC and their first Grands, and recently neutered Candy got a PC. Mynx went on to make BIS Adult and Overall BIS. If it is any consolation at all, I didn''t win the raffle!
